Discover draped-tailoring
CELIA CORDA is built around a single technique: draped-tailoring — the rigour of the tailoring bench joined to the fluid movement of draping. Every piece begins as a structured pattern, then is sculpted, folded and pinned directly on the body, so that architecture and movement meet in one silhouette.
Experts in tailoring & capes — the tailoring-cape is our signature
The design origin
The Mediterranean is the visual source: white stone, dark shadows, zellige geometry, candlelight. These references are translated into a luxury dark-academia wardrobe — black, gold, forest green, burgundy, royal blue — cut and finished by hand.
The house is expert in tailoring and in the cape; the tailoring-cape, where the two meet, is its signature silhouette.
Every piece is made-to-measure and produced in limited editions, with purpose. We make less, so that each piece is built to fit one body and carries more intention.
- I
The pattern
Every silhouette begins with a structured tailoring pattern — proportion, line, and the discipline of a garment built to sit correctly on a real body.
- II
The drape
The cloth is then sculpted, folded and pinned directly on the stand, so movement is built into the construction rather than added afterward. This meeting of structure and fluidity is draped-tailoring, the house's own technique.
- III
The fitting
Each piece is made-to-measure: the fit is adjusted to the client's own dimensions, and the fabric is chosen together with the atelier.
- IV
The edition
Each piece is numbered and produced in a limited number, cut and sewn to order once a commission is confirmed.
